DWI is a non profit voluntary, non political organisation. It is the first migrant led women HIV/AIDS service organization in Ireland. DWI was initiated in 2006 but started formal operation in January 2008 by a pioneer of seven women from Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, South Africa, Botwana, Zimbabwe and Nigeria.

Our mission is to empower migrant women to tackle HIV/AIDS and related issues by providing information, support, and training.
